SELLERSTACK LEGAL

Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 27 August 2026

SellerStack is an independent online resource providing tools, calculators, guides and recommendations for UK online sellers and resellers.

Some links on SellerStack are affiliate links. This means that if you click one of these links and make a purchase, start a subscription or complete another qualifying action, SellerStack may receive a commission or referral payment.

This is normally at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate partnerships help support the operation of SellerStack and allow us to continue developing free calculators, seller tools, guides and resources.

This page explains how affiliate relationships work and how we approach recommendations.

1. What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a link containing tracking information that allows a company or affiliate network to identify that a visitor was referred by SellerStack.

If you follow an affiliate link and subsequently make a qualifying purchase or take another qualifying action, SellerStack may receive a commission or referral payment from the provider.

The exact tracking method, attribution period and commission arrangement can vary between providers and affiliate programmes.

2. Does Using an Affiliate Link Cost You More?

Normally, no.

Where SellerStack receives an affiliate commission, it is generally paid by the company or affiliate network rather than being added to the price you pay.

However, prices, promotions, trials and subscription terms are controlled by the third-party provider.

You should always check the provider’s current pricing and terms before making a purchase or starting a subscription.

3. How SellerStack Chooses Recommended Tools

An affiliate relationship does not automatically make a product or service a SellerStack recommendation.

When assessing a tool or service, we may consider factors such as:

  • what the tool is designed to do;
  • which types of sellers it may suit;
  • the problems it may help solve;
  • its features and functionality;
  • how it fits into a seller’s workflow;
  • available pricing and free options;
  • alternative products or services; and
  • its relevance to UK online sellers.

Where appropriate, we may recommend a free tool or alternative instead of a paid affiliate product.

The existence or potential value of an affiliate commission does not determine which option we consider most appropriate for a particular use case.

4. What Does “SellerStack Pick” Mean?

Some products, services or resources may receive a SellerStack Pick designation.

A SellerStack Pick means that, based on our assessment, we consider that option particularly useful for the use case being discussed.

It does not mean:

  • the product is suitable for every seller;
  • it is necessarily the cheapest option;
  • it is the only product worth considering;
  • SellerStack guarantees its performance; or
  • the provider has paid to receive the designation.

A SellerStack Pick may be a paid product, a free product or a service for which SellerStack receives no affiliate commission at all.

This distinction is important to our recommendation approach.

5. Free Alternatives and SellerStack’s Own Tools

We do not believe every online seller needs paid software.

In many situations, a free marketplace feature, carrier service, spreadsheet, official resource or SellerStack calculator may be sufficient.

Where we believe a free option is a sensible starting point, we may recommend it even when a paid affiliate alternative is available.

SellerStack also provides its own free calculators and resources. These may be recommended alongside commercial products where they can help sellers understand their fees, margins, pricing, shipping costs or other business numbers before deciding whether paid software is necessary.

6. Our Relationship With Third-Party Providers

SellerStack may participate in affiliate or referral programmes operated directly by companies or through third-party affiliate networks.

Participation in an affiliate programme does not mean that SellerStack owns, operates or controls the provider.

Third-party companies remain responsible for their own:

  • products and services;
  • pricing;
  • subscription plans;
  • free trials;
  • promotions;
  • warranties;
  • customer service;
  • privacy practices; and
  • terms and conditions.

These can change without notice.

You should therefore verify important information directly with the provider before purchasing or subscribing.

7. Affiliate Links in Guides and Resources

Affiliate links may appear in different areas of SellerStack, including:

  • recommended seller tool pages;
  • marketplace guides;
  • software comparisons;
  • shipping resources;
  • educational articles;
  • resource pages; and
  • other relevant SellerStack content.

Where appropriate, we may include a disclosure on or near content containing affiliate links in addition to this full Affiliate Disclosure.

8. Sponsored Content and Paid Placements

An affiliate relationship is different from sponsored content.

If SellerStack publishes content that has been specifically paid for or sponsored by a company, we intend to identify that commercial relationship clearly where appropriate.

A standard affiliate commission earned after a visitor independently chooses to follow a link and make a purchase does not, by itself, mean that the content is sponsored.

Similarly, participation in an affiliate programme does not mean that a provider controls SellerStack’s editorial conclusions.

9. Prices, Offers and Product Information

We aim to provide useful information about products and services, but third-party pricing, discounts, promotions, features and availability can change.

Information displayed on SellerStack should therefore not be treated as a guarantee of the price or offer you will receive.

The information shown on the provider’s website at the time of your visit or purchase should be checked before making a decision.

10. Your Purchasing Decisions

Recommendations on SellerStack are provided for general informational purposes.

Every seller has different requirements, budgets, marketplaces and business circumstances.

You are responsible for deciding whether a product or service is suitable for you before purchasing, subscribing or providing payment information.

Where a product offers a trial, demonstration or free version, you may wish to evaluate it before committing to a paid subscription.

11. Supporting SellerStack

Using one of our affiliate links is one way visitors may support SellerStack.

Where an eligible transaction generates a commission, that revenue can help support the costs involved in operating and developing SellerStack, including our:

  • free seller calculators;
  • marketplace fee tools;
  • shipping and parcel tools;
  • business and tax checkers;
  • seller guides;
  • free downloadable resources; and
  • ongoing website development.

You are never required to use an affiliate link to access SellerStack’s free content or tools.

12. Privacy and Affiliate Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, the destination website or affiliate network may use cookies or other tracking technologies to attribute the referral to SellerStack.

These technologies are controlled by the relevant third party and may be subject to its own privacy and cookie policies.

For more information about cookies and privacy on SellerStack itself, please read our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to This Affiliate Disclosure
